Sade Oshinubi

Sade
Sade Oshinubi is Chairwoman of UPAC’s Board. She previously served as the Board’s Vice Chair of Policy and Government Affairs.

Sade is Government Affairs Counsel at a national telecommunications trade association, where she provides authoritative advice and information to the association’s staff, government officials, and industry representatives on broadband deployment policy issues affecting regulatory and legislative matters and questions of law and fact. Sade also provides oversight and direction on a variety of the trade association’s advocacy and policy strategy.

Additionally, Sade volunteers on the Executive Board of the Northern Virginia Urban League Young Professionals Network (an auxiliary chapter of the National Urban League). As the Director of Political Engagement, she serves as the liaison to local, state, and federal political networks; she is responsible for political awareness and education; she facilitates political forums prior to general government elections; and she organizes ongoing voter registration and education efforts.

Sade earned her B.S. in Journalism from Georgia Southern University, an M.S. in Telecommunications from Indiana University, and a J.D. from Indiana University Maurer School of Law, where she served as the president of the Black Law Students Association, as the law school representative to the Graduate and Professional Student Organization, as a Managing Editor for the Indiana Journal of Global Legal Studies, as a Founding Member and Management Executive of the Indiana Journal of Law and Social Equality, and as a coach of the law school’s Federal Communications Bar Association’s Telecommunications Moot Court team.

Sade is admitted to practice law in the District of Columbia.
