UPAC Priorities

ADVOCACY

  1. To advocate for the ISSUES emanating within the African community in the United States and in Africa (social, economic and political development);
  2. To increase the participation/integration of Africans throughout the U.S.;
  3. To cooperate and liaise with local, state, regional, national, and international governments and organizations;
  4. To collaborate with polities in the U.S. and Africa to reach the Sustainable Development mandates;
  5. To monitor and evaluate relevant ongoing programs;
  6. To restore peace and security among African Nations;
  7. To forge trade and economic growth in U.S. and Africa; and
  8. To disseminate to the public, media, and governments, information about UNITED PEOPLE FOR AFRICAN CONGRESS’ services
  9. To serve God and man.

EDUCATION & TRAINING

  1. To provide educational tools and resources that foster capacity building for African people, businesses, and organizations in the U.S. and Africa; and
  2. To give educational opportunities to every child in Africa

HEALTH & WELLBEING

  1. To respect and protect each human being and his/her health and human rights;
  2. To provide social services, such as health, nutrition, and housing to our aging populations in the U.S. and in Africa;
  3. To address food and environmental safety in our home and communities;
  4. To give sustainability, efficiency, effectiveness, and support to its members and member organizations through effective leadership training, especially youth; and
  5. To improve the living conditions of all Africans in the U.S. and in Africa

CULTURAL PRESERVATION

  1. To preserve our African identity in the U.S.;
  2. To promote cultural awareness; and
  3. To encourage unity among varying African ethnic groups
